I know it's been translated to German already but I'll throw in another, more colloquial translation: "Taugt dir Metal?" (approx. "Are you into metal?") And here's a more formal one again: "Gefällt dir Metal?" (approx. "Do you like metal") And an adolescent one: "Stehst du auf Metal?" ("Do you dig metal?") There, that should suffice.
