You know what rules?

they obviously can solo, but they don't need to.. with songs with such structure as they have..

skyfire is one of the few metal bands to use polyphony so masterfully.. thumbs up to that.

I guess they don't have to but I think if you can solo you definitely should, at least once in awhile. Maybe since Skyfire's arrangements are so elaborate and the songs are so well structured already, they don't need one in every song but it'd be a welcome addition every now and then.

I think they might have said something along the lines of not being able to write a solo, because I don't think even the extremely modest Anreas and Martin can question their technical abilities. But that's still bullshit :p

I personally don't think they need solos, but both Martin and Andreas are very capable of it. I think at this point a solo wouldnt do anything but stand out in an awkward way. Though one with a really melodic edge to it with harmonies woulds be cool, just a shred solo for the sake of soloing would suck.

I can't picture a solo in anything they've written already, but I'm sure they could write a song in such a way that a solo would work well. But you're right, too many bands solo just so they can say they did a solo.

Anyone notice how most of the people that demanded that Andreas do a solo a few months ago don't post here anymore?
