hum, the band that made me get into metal was metallica and i still enjoy (i think) them today, even knowing that they're gays a bunch of assholes and stuff...
maybe they're my all time favorite band...
but, wait, before metallica i used to listen to alien sex fiend...maybe they were my first step into metal...shit...i don't know...
later i'll answer...

The Clash. The Cure. They Might Be Giants. Tori Amos. Nine Inch Nails. Ben Folds. Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros. Radiohead. Operation Ivy. Weezer. The Roots. Ween. Soul Coughing. All those bands are bands I've liked for a long time and/or I generally have many records for. There's bands I actually kinda like better or listen to more, but if they only have one or two records out I don't know if I classify them as my favourite-of-all-time yet.

Right now, of those, I generally listen to Soul Coughing, the Clash, the Cure, TMBG, and maybe Tori Amos every week.

I swear I'm not a pussy.

from those that you said i only know the cure and, yes, they're nice...ah, jane's addiction is great...i love stop!

i think in the death grind area i love napalm death...they rule...i started brutal music with them

Buckethead is this insanely great guitarist who just joined the reformed GNR to replace Slash.

he's the one who look likes a cadaver, zombie?

I didn't like music at all until I was like 13. My mother used to listen to lots of 80s crap and I thought all music was like that, so I said "fuck it". Once I figured out there was other stuff, I got hugely into it, but because of my 13 years of solitude, I don't have a classic-rock base like basically everyone else. Oh well.

the same happened here...my mother teaches piano (she is into classical music), my brother used to listen to jazz, blues, new age, eletronics (like kraftwerk) and my father was into the popular music from here...and i had my taste for music mixed due to this...i listen to every kind of style but i like metal/rock best...

Here's some pictures of good old Buckethead.

actually, me too! (the quote above i'd wear on a t-shirt, if i'd still listened to metallica, o woe!)

The Doors and King Crimson at the very top maybe. (the test of time they endured)
