Suidakra are kinda melodic black metal...you can give a try to them...
yes I saw what kinda style you listen to...but you never know
I was listening just to melodic black/death metal...and now I am listening to power a lot, too...times are changing...
try the songs like: Trails Of Gore, Hall Of Tales, The Highking....

The new Sonata album was pretty ok.
I liked the song The Misery and Champagne Bath wasnt bad either.
Not as good as Ecliptica though.

hey EFF...if you like Sonata Arctica and Edguy...you should try these bands: Stratovarious, Galloglass and Twilightning...awesome power melodic metal stuff..

Opeth (which i suppose more like traditional black metal, when they do play black parts in their songs)

No, the heavy parts in Opeths songs are more like slowed-down death metal with more melodic guitar riffs. Opeth are unique, and they rule!

hehe...yes...true! its hard to make a decision between "Children Of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll" and "Suidakra - Signs Of The Fallen" now after I heard this one...really these two albums are the best albums I've ever heard!!!
