Your fav snare for recording

here are some samples from that snare btw:

just one possible sound of course, that snare is EXTREMELY versatile

you know there are TONS of black beauty copies?

difference is the BB is SPUN, the pearl and all others are sheet metal that is welded.

still a great snare!

EDIT:http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/archive/index.php/t-256464.html

mine is spun, too...but it's not the regular model, and I think it's discontinued now.
I compared it to the "standard" sensitones (which are great also), but it wasn't really a comparison, my elite custom came out on top EASILY..
here's video evidence:

no seams ;)

BLEEEURRRRRRGHHH:yuk:
Ringy snares are the bane of my life!

horses for courses i guess!

You are so wrong man :p

Sustain is crucial to make the snare smack. Andthe mix always kills a bit of the sustain. so if you don't got any sustain from the start then the snare will be thin as fuck when the mix is done

either way, you can't go wrong with the BB, GREAT GREAT snares....not the cheapest one though, but worth it!
dont take me trying to prove you wrong the wrong way :p im just sure ive never seen or heard of the snare you say yours is is my 7ish years of religious drum gear studying haha
