Alrighty...I was just asked in an interview what my
favorite four metal bands and albums by them were
so here they are:

Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Judas Priest - Screaming for Vengeance
Metallica - Ride the Lightening/Master of Puppets (tie)
Fates Warning - Perfect Symmetry

What are yours? I'm really curious to see where everyone's
coming from! :)

Chris

Iced Earth- Something Wicked This Way Comes
Iron Maiden- Piece of Mind
Judas Priest- Unleashed in the East
Skid Row- Skid Row

I like a lot of old Metallica and can't choose just one so I left them off altogether...

Wow, picking only 4 is really tough and I hate to leave Metallica, Queensryche, Fates Warning, and Rush (though not really metal) off the list. But, these four albums are the ones that I can go back to and be blown away every time.

Slayer - Reign in Blood
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Watchtower - Control & Resistance
Sprial Architect - A Sceptic's Universe

tough call to many to list....

1) Judas Priest Screaming For Vengence / Live in the East Tie
2) Primal Fear - Primal Fear
3) Irom Maiden Killers
4) Savatage - Edge of Thorns

Could we make this the top 10?

Others...

Ion Maiden- # of the beast, and Iron Maiden
Helloween Keeper of the seven keys ps 1+2
Dokken - Under Lock and Key

OK then, Hey everyone...new here and I saw this question....so I just HAD to reply:
Genesis: Trick of the Tail
Rush: Hemispheres
Symphony X: The Odyssey
Queensryche: Warning
Iced Earth: Dark Saga (I miss Barlow...)
Had to put 5....still not enough for all my choices ;)

Thanks for asking,

Metallica-...And Justice For All
Fear Factory-Demanufacture
Evergrey-In Search of Truth
Balance of Power-Perfect Balance

There are many other albums that have had an impact on me musically, or emotionally, but these four seem to stick out in my mind at the moment. My all time favorite band however, would have to be Rush. I've loved them since I can remember. The first metal album I ever bought had to have been Metallica's black album(that album came out when I was eight years old, so don't look at me like I'm a poser!! :D )

Four??? Ouch! That's pretty much impossible. And they always change over time! But speaking for right now, and keeping it broad and not just "metal", my favorites are...

The Beatles- Revolver
Voivod-Angel Rat
KISS- Alive II
Alice Cooper- Love It To Death

It feels so wrong leaving out so many others that are right up there!! I'll save those for another day I guess hehe
