I haven't put O:M on in about six months. I was blown away again. I asked what was your favorite track, so I suppose it is only fair for me to pick one. That is tough, but I guess I will say "Speak".

It's very difficult to choose here, but I'd probably go with either Revolution Calling or Spreading the Disease (LOVE the lyrics to that one, especially).

Basically, EVERY song on this classic could have been chosen with the exception of "The Needle Lies" or the title track. Both are great, but are a notch below the rest, IMO.

Great band.:worship:

Suite Sister Mary, and then the title track...also love The Mission.

Kill her....and get the priest as well.

'Suite Sister Mary', no doubt hands down the epic, center piece of the album. 'Eyes' is the perfect ending song...couldn't have been any better way to close out that album. I love the way '. My Empty Room' leads into 'Eyes'....fuckin' sweet. Damn perfect album. Not a note, melody, lyric or vocal inflection out of place.

or is it one long song divided into segments for reference points ? has someone been plaYing with your minds ?

OPERATION MINDCRIME SLAYS !

VERY hard too choose..."I don't believe in love" had a special meaning for me at that time (guess what happened :) So, I'll go with that song.

Tough one! I like to think of the whole album as one big song (how's that for a cop-out answer???)

at first i thought it said operation mindcrime II. i was about to reply i don't really have a favorite from that album because its pretty weak.

now OM:C 1 is too hard. i like them all

 damn it, hard to pick just one!
Speak was the first one that came to mind
Spreading the Disease, Eyes of a Stranger and Suite Sister Mary followed...

EDIT: ending with Eyes just makes you want to listen to it again, again and again:kickass:

OPERATION MINDCRIME SLAYS !

I think it is both..... I simply chose a song when I made the post. Not that EVERY song is equal, but I could have picked one from about four or five that would be my "favorite." Superb release !!

Ok, my vote changes to Revolution Calling. What a brilliant track (and the drum intro Anarchy X is as amazing). The song is very well written, catchy and has a shitload of groove. The lyrics for RC were great as well.

See, Mindcrime is the shit, its what great music and great bands are all about. When you can't honestly decide a favorite track because they all kick or touch home. When you can sit and listen to an entire recording front to back and still want more. I actually feel nearly the same way about Empire. I have my picks on Empire but its always full play. "The Warning", same deal.
