When tracking DI:

- Countryman Type 10 (THRU) > Line 6 POD HD > Liquid Saffire 56 via S/PDIF
When re-amping the DI:
RME ADI-8 AE > Little Labs RedEye > Ibanez TS808 > Amp > Mesa Recto 2x12 > Mic (Usually either a SM57, R121, MD421 or Unidyne 545) -> Chandler Germanium Pre -> RME ADI-8 AE

Interesting, KM184 on guitar cabs. I'm curious, do you use this for high gain settings or for clean tones? Do you have clips that you can share with the 184s on a guitar cab?

Sometimes I run a Recto 2x12 for a different sound.
Occasionally I'll dual mic or add a room mic depending on the style and what I feel like.

Lasse gave me the idea when he posted tracks of a 5150 with the km184 some time ago (must be years by now
). It's really cool, I mostly use dual miking technique so i.e. beta57+m201 for one and sm57+km184 for the other guitar.
The files are all down I'm afraid (Thread on Gearslutz)

The first part is more like a punk/hardcore tone, in the middle (1:33) it's metalcore and in the end even kinda djenty (2:52). I used slightly different amp and TS settings for the songs.
