Hi all, new to the forum, new to mixing too , I was wondering if you all be kind enough to take a listen to something I recorded and let me know what you think , everybody has different speakers so I wanna see what everyone says about this, be as critical as you can , the song starts slow but it gets heavier, faster and thrashier as it progresses so please be patient, your time is greatly appreciated, cheers. not one reply huh ? lol

The playing is certainly awesome.

What speakers are you mixing on? what kind of mixing situation? Did you use a reference for this mix?

The mix sounds very tiny.

Which drum program are you using?

Is that rhythm guitar in mono?

Answer those questions and we can get started on some mix critique. I'm no mix master by any means, but I think I can help some.

ALaz666 thanks for your reply and comment, I use M-Audio BX5s, I know they are not the best but that's what I have right now, I use a Digi 002 rack and work in protools, sometimes I mix on headphones too , Audio Technica M50s I believe, if that makes a difference, I am using Superior drummer, drum kit from hell and metal foundry, the rhythm guitar's are in mono, recorded twice, once with an Ibanez another with a Jackson, and doubled up, so 2 hard left and hard right and the other two about 70 percent, thanks for your time man, I appreciate it, Bryan Kilco I agree, the mix is very quiet, difficult process mixing is.
