Your thoughts on IK's Arc System

what do you guys think about the product? Does it actually make your mixes sound better or is it a load of crap and only wasting your money? And have any of you used / tried it?

I don't know any acousticians that wouldn't look at that and reject it almost straight away. I haven't personaly tried it, but I know the problem with such systems is that they improve the response in one position only, and make it even worse in others. You can't 'trick' physics with software.

Is it better than £400 worth of rockwool/fibreglass? absolutely not.

Pretty much, I think theres some subtle time delay stuff going on there as well but the emphasis is on eq.

But dont bother, buy some rockwool and build some bass traps.

IMO you shouldn't EQ your monitors until you've treated your room as well as you possibly could. There are many high dollar rooms that EQ their speakers, but the rooms themselves are already fantastic and it's only for little tweaks....putting the icing on the cake.
