As for SigmundFreud the technique with the bass boom is a matter of harmonic excitement and balancing the volume so during mastering after you add compression it slightly ducks the mix underneath the bass drop.
Typically the bass booms on my stuff end up a good 3db louder than the rest of the song, thus causing the ducking after the compression.
I'm glad you dig it!

OH & the bass drop I'm using in this song is the Joey Sturgis' sub drop you can buy from his website.

My nippletwister on this one is the quite dominating subfrequencie that the kick does, constant fucking HUMMERVIBE, i'd back the fuck of that kick from about 50hz it's... just... if you have a subwoofer just try it i mean geez at least on my shit it sounds weird
