YT: Superior 2.0 tutorial...

Hey Ola may i ask you something..
Your tutorial is great and help me a lot.. i was wondering why do you use avatar intesad the metal foundry. Do you prefer avatar or you cant afford both.

if you could explaind the manly diferences between both could be great and very usefull to me.

Thank you!

Hey Sergio and thanks, I actually mainly use Avatar more. I have both though! And also I put more effort in doing a tutorial where you only need avatar which is included, otherwise you have to buy both superior 2.0 and metal foundry to be able to follow it.

Well good point there...

Thanks for your anwers!

I'm sorry but. 1.13 in the SD tut.
Make sure you have [_____] so you can route...
Im not getting something here.

I load an instrument track incubase, with sd2, select multichannel but in my cubasemixer i still only have 1 track.

Help?

Hilarious!!! When Ola mentioned that will make drum editing tutorial I just spitted out that this time will bet Arnold Swarchenegger. But Victoria got the spot... that's not all Arny was there on horse :D

I usually have my drums routed to a group channel (not as a send but as an actual group channel) with some soft clipping and light compression just to pull it all together, but actually putting them on a SEND to some hard compression, to get a parallel mix going on, is very good advice for added punch, I've done it on some older mixes with varied success, but after sticking at it I'm becoming more confident with the practice and using it to great effect on a few client's mixes at the moment. Really good stuff here as usual Ola. Me love you long time!

just ordered SD2 with metal foundry off ebay. Only 299 for both, and with the aussie dollar so high it really is only costing me $300. When I worked at Allans it was $599 for the regular version and maye $300 for the uprgrade.

Should get it in a few days

HEy Ola, i've download your preset to use as starting point... and its fantastic.
May i ask you for a TMF preset? I've tried to emulate the sounds of your avatar one using metal foundry (cause i like better the way that the two kicks drums sound in fast grooves) but i'm not so good programing.
I'll be great if you coud share one.

Thanks a Lot!!

If I use Reaper with Superior Drummer, and use the piano roll, how would I get different velocities and get the bleed if I am just dialing in the hits?

but when say i do a drum beat using piano roll, and then I solo the Over head track will I be able to hear a little of the rest of the kit too? seems like all I would hear is cymbal cymbal cymbal and not hear the bleed from the snare, toms, hi hat....etc.
