Zeppelin or Floyd

floyd by a landslide, although i do not like all their work, the ones i do like, i like ALOT
i'd probly say overal animals is their best record overal. regardless of what that other guy said, that is their darkest album.

the pink floyd - live in pompeii dvd is one of the finest pieces of experimental music i've ever seen

fav songs : careful with that axe eugene (live only)
echoes
welcome to the machine
dogs
set the controls for the heart of the sun

I would not call that experimental music.

I would not call that experimental music.

By today's standards no. But for it's time it was compared to what was out there. They imo were unique in what they did then. You would have to imagine being a music lover or teenager hearing Floyd for the first time when Pompeii came out.

Led Zeppelin is more talented and better (in my opinion) but Pink Floyd has a better songwriter and also their music has more of an impact on your mind. Or at least for me. When I started listening to them I became more patient when I was able to wait the amount of time some of their songs required like Time.

They're both near the top of favourites but I'm going to have to say Floyd. Zep I guess had the more overall talent but Waters was a awesome songwriter and lyricist.

zep or floyd? 2 different style bands. both great at what they do..they are too different to compare musicly, tho some may have a personal choice....i really dont......i liken it to coffee or tea,
zep is coffee....floyd is tea...i like both.depends on the mood:)
i choose not to choose:saint:

ive been a zep fan since i first heard babe im gunna leave you in my dads old piece of shit pickup truck when i was like 5 and later that was the first song i learned from zep... other than some licks from stairway... who hasnt. but they are both amazing bands and when i have shit to think about i read what they are saying... but i think zep is higher on my list...

Just to let you know.. Babe Im Going to Leave You is a Joan Baez song that was redone by Zep... though I like Zep's version better no doubt...
