I think at this point the vocals are too loud. I'm not a fan of the guitar tone, but it works in an oldschool kind of way. Can't really hear the kick, and the snare has too much room sound for me. Bass could come up some.

the vocals will come down, yes. t'was what I was thinking as well. I'll play around with the other stuff and see what unfolds. thanks!

alrighty my frisco friend - changed the beater to plastic, which brought out the bass drum a bit more (maybe I'm just going crazy), put the bass guitar up a cunt hair (probably barely noticeable), and dropped the main vox a few clicks (probably not enough for your liking, but I hate low/buried vox - even bad ones). guitars stay because that was messed up in the recording phase (just thew a mic in front of my amp without tweaking like I should have), can't really change much without re-recording. snare stays because I like it in this case, but comment noted for future reference.

next tune I'll probably route the drums separately so I can fool with compressing/eq-ing them individually or in groups. I was trying to get familiar with EZD and tried to mix them in EZ's mixer.

thanks again for helping!

Sounds good, I love the toms in the opening, they sound perfect. I do think the room sound on the snare should be dropped, or at least compress the close-mic and bring it up a bit because it lacks attack. I think its great though, and great song.

I'll play around with the snare, try and tighten it up. thanks!
