really simple answers only, vst plugins for DAW

Waves Audio, hands-down. They have emulations of some of the most famous hardware units in existance, and even emulate some of the UAD stuff. They are very faithful, and some are extremely easy to use, yet there are some which might require a degree in Mix Engineering, but there is something for...

Someone can mix my stems??. (instrumental rock)

I beg to disagree. When I export any tracks from my DAW, I have the option to export as different file formats, (wav, mp3, aif, etc). I ALSO have the ability to export either the Stems, or the mixdown, and I can export each individual track, as well as any Bus and/or Master output. Then I can...

Best book to better my mixing skills?

The absolute best book you can buy is called "The Mixing Engineers Handbook" by Bobby Owsinski. If you don't become a better mixer even after reading 1-chapter of this book, you will never be a Mixer. I have learned so much with this text. It even has quotes from famous Mixing Engineers taken in...

Someone can mix my stems??. (instrumental rock)

Stems are the recordings of each individual track. They can have processing or not. They are usually panned (L or R) and balanced (Volume), but not always.

Nation of Domination - Thrash Metal

Well, after 3-days of intense mixing and re-mixing, I think I've got it perfect. I'm stillgoing to change the drums a bit so it fits more with the syncopated rhythms, but as far as levels, balance, EQ and cohesion, I think it's spot on. Oh, and I've added lead guitar to it as well. I can fill...

Nation of Domination - Thrash Metal

Well, as long as it's precise and thorough, either, or both really. I feel the song is pretty good, so I guess I'm seeking advice in the mix and production really.

    Overloud TH3 Metal

Tried it once and fell in love with it. You can hear it in action here: and one with a lead break: and one just messing around: Don't think I'll ever use another amp sim again. This has become my go-to sim.

Some Advice on this Progressive Thrash Mix?

Thanx. Great tips. Like I said, it's just a rough mix, (balances, Main compression and all). I'll try to fix the freqs and I'm thinking about maybe a channel strip on each track. Maybe I'll even re-do the drum fx altogether, (remove all Room and Overs, (Superior Drummer)), and add them...

Some Advice on this Progressive Thrash Mix?

Mind you, all I've done is set my levels, and place a compressor on the Mains to glue everything together. No EQ or 'verb, or anything else has been done to it. Should I leave it alone, (less is more) or try to make it shine?

Plug in to remove your room from the Mixing equation???

Not possible. You would have to record in an ISO booth. There is no way to remove reverb from a recording once it's commited, you can only lessen the imaging the reverb provides, somehow.

Plug in to remove your room from the Mixing equation???

It automatically gates the reverb trails so they are less apparent in the mix. On playback, you would simply put your mix on a bus, and send the De-verb to that bus, and you can control the amount from the send. When you have the right amount export it to a file and there you have a de-verbed...
