ARSIS - SCORNSTAR free download (recorded at Audiohammer)

Hey guys, MetalSucks just premiered a track off of our new album Unwelcome (April 30 2013, Nuclear Blast USA) called Scornstar. The album was recorded with Mark Lewis at Audiohammer and we think he did a killer job. You can listen here and get a free download, check it out! We will also be on...

    New Arsis Music Video

Thanks dude! Basically, Scion provides us the means to rock them an EP, a music video, a tour, etc, just because they rule and want to support metal. They help us do our job. They're helping to keep metal alive in a big way...so I guess what I'm saying is that you should all go buy a Scion :muahaha:

    New Arsis Music Video

Hey guys, we just did a new music video for the song Carve My Cross off of our FREE Scion A/V Metal EP Leper's Caress (mixed and mastered by Zeuss). Check it out and let us know what you think! We had a lot of fun making it, filming it in the Haunted Mansion and Pirate Ghost Ride amusement parks...

ARSIS - Lepers Caress (Free Scion A/V release)

We intentionally omitted the apostrophe on the album cover for the sake of aesthetics and symmetry. The album is indeed entitled "Leper's Caress". Zeuss mixed and mastered this one. We went for somewhat of an old school Swedish vibe with the guitars, etc, with a modern presentation. It was...

    Cancer Sucks

Oh my god  RIP MD...absolutely the funniest guy on this forum, had us all in tears laughing on more occasions than I can count. He is already missed.

    I have to say...

Yeah because F.O.H. really addresses mastering, recording, tuning, managing, etc etc. I think Mixing Desk would be a much more appropriate name and I don't even see how it could be argued otherwise. But you know what would be a REALLY appropriate name? Production Techniques. But yeah, lets go...

    I have to say...

I dont understand...all of the new sub-forum names are live-oriented...this is a recording forum. It is not more clear where to post things, it is actually much more confusing, cryptic, and open for interpretation. When I saw something was different I was hoping the sub-forums had been...

New Nile Record 'At The Gates Of Sethu'

That's the point. Sounds good to me, sounds how it should :kickass:

    Amazing guitar player

He had a band called Harem Scarem I consider myself a fan of. Awesome guitar player. That Caparison PLM-3 that Adam D used to play is one of Pete's signature guitars.

Suhr Modern vs PRS Custom 24 vs Ernie Ball Music Man JPXI

Wow I am definitely surprised by that PRS pickup. Listening to the cleans you can hear that 2 and 3 have this airyness to them and the PRS sounds tighter more in your face. It sounds like the sound I associate with a ceramic magnet, is it? I wouldn't have expected something that tight from a PRS...

    For us low-tuned djentbags.

I clicked on this because im a "djent" hater, and I thought the video was hilarious. Every time I hear somebody playing/talking about "djent" I'm just going to start using the word rhunk instead just to piss them off. Oh, and anyone who didn't immediately realize that this dude is being...

    German circumcision ban

Yeah, it is pretty crazy out here. Some chicks here even have no idea what it means or what uncircumsized junk looks like. I've thought about this a little for the last couple of days and even though I initially was like "who gives a shit, its just circumcision", i've come to realize that there...

Suhr Modern vs PRS Custom 24 vs Ernie Ball Music Man JPXI

Worth noting that guitar 3 is having a problem with its setup, if you listen closely in headphones or something, in the clean clip you can hear that the open B string is having problems resonating, probably action too low. Sounds really unpleasant.

Suhr Modern vs PRS Custom 24 vs Ernie Ball Music Man JPXI

In general, I like them in order, 1, 2 and then 3. But for the cleans, I would choose guitar number 2. Overall, #1 is my kind of guitar. I have no idea the specs on these or which one is which, and I don't want to make an ass out of myself guessing which is which. Curious to find out, though.

    New Cryptopsy....

Wait, so Cryptopsy isn't a nu metal band anymore? Stoked to check this out when I get home.
