I really like the music on this album, but I've never been a fan of Kevin Moore's vocals. I would like this album a lot more with a different singer, or if it was an instrumental album.
Thanks for the info Shadowfiend. I have Reality in Focus and I love it. But I never knew they had one before that. I also was wondering if they were still around. I'm glad to see they're working on a new album.
I listen to a lot of the bands already listed in this thread, so I'll just name a few that haven't been listed yet.
Sevendust
Coal Chamber
Nonpoint
Ultraspank
Spineshank
40 Grit
Also I should add, System of a Down is one of the best bands I've ever seen live.
I love Metal Curch. They've always been one of my favorite bands. I own all of their albums, plus the Reverend, and Wayne cd's. I've looked all over the place for Heretic cd's but, I could never find them. It's almost too hard to choose a favorite cd by them. Their first 3 albums are absolute...
I saw them backin '90 with Forbidden also. I still remember that as the best show I've ever been to. I can't believe Death Angel hasn't done any shows on the East Coast yet since they got back together.
I saw Superjoint Ritual on Saturday night. From the way Phil was talking, I can definitely say Pantera have broken up.
It's fine with me. I think Superjoint Ritual is way better than the last Pantera album.
I'm going. I can't wait.
BTW - The website finally has times posted for the bands. Opeth, Shadows Fall, and Nevermore are the last three bands on Friday night. It's going to be so awesome!!!
Megadeth have always been better than Metallica in my opinion. Metallica had some great albums, but for each album they put out, Megadeth put one out that was better. I don't care for the new material by either band, but Megadeth is more tolerable these days than Metallica.
Fates Warning is my favorite band. My favorite stuff was the classic stuff with John Arch, so I'm really looking forward to A Twist of Fate when that comes out.
I don't know if John Arch became a police officer for a while when he left Fates, but I read an interview with him a few years ago...
I think what you're talking about is the re-issues they've recently done. They're not rare, as far as I know, but from what I've heard, they make it worth while to buy the new versions. I haven't picked them up yet, but I plan to.
