maybe I'm a little late, to post on this threda, but I just want to say I share your opinion on the amazing vocals of Matt Barlow... He is just even more perfect than words can describe...so...:rock::OMG:

Yeah. I was never against Anette, but when I heard the things she used to sing (and not so long ago), I was utterly disappointed. But, as I said before, I truly trust Tuomas's judgment, and if he thinks that Anette is 'the one' I believe him! :notworthy

Well I don't think she has nothing to contribute to the band, and as I've always said; When Tuomas decides to do something it can NEVER be a bad thing! So, I guess that Anette is not so bad, although she doesn't know anything about the history of the music that she is singing...

Well, let me ask you something. Does she look like the kind of a woman that knows anything about metal at all?! To me the answer is NO! She sang pop a few months ago, so that's what I mean when I say that she doesn't represent METAL! She knows nothing about the music she's supposed to be...

Well I doubt it too, since she's almost 40 years old... But, anyway, I didn't say she can't sing, I just said she does not represent METAL in the purest sense! :Smug: She has no unique personality, she is plain Jane! And I just can't accept that..., although I know I'll have to, sooner...

It's a little silly, to be honest... I expected more from them, but I guess Anette is doing a good job in turning them into a popier band.... I think she has ruined everything, I will never be able to look at them in the same way again... It's not that I prefer Tarja, but I prefer what...

Well,if she thinks that the rhythm for singing is different than for dancing, or even worse, if the rhythm is different for those two actions it means that she doesn't know a lot about at least one of those things, and Madonna, being actually a dancer, and not a singer I can imagine which action...

I've come to correct myself! Yeah, Anette is a REALLY bad singer even generally speaking... :ill: I never thought that a singer who can sing well can ever be SO bad at dancing, which is in a way connected to singing because both of those activities require rhythm...

Amaranth is a very good video, but the only thing I don't like about it is that Anette is a really bad dancer.... Not generally speaking, but compared to the genre of music she is supposed to be singing... OMG! Why did they let her move at all...?! If there was no sound, and you're looking...

I know what you mean! Since Matt left...Iced Earth just isn't Iced Earth any more. Rather lukewarm water...
