Such a superb album. BE is just as good (if not better).

I use the Soldano (Modern Hi Gain) model and it's got a really nice crunch and chunk to it. Just make sure you don't have too much bass and keep the mids dialled in.

As it says on his site, Marcel uses a Marshall JMP-1 which is a pretty cheap preamp - he pairs it up with a Mesa 2:90 which is fairly pricey but still not bad for good tone. He did go direct with the JMP-1 for some recordings but I don't know if they were the ones on his site.

You can enjoy Testimony without being Christian. I'm not a Christian and I love the album and was very moved by seeing it live.

Interesting. Allthe people I know who are regulars at the after shows all say John is a really nice guy. I guess it depends on the situation and where you're meeting him or something.

I'd just ask if they have any ideas for the next album. Stuff like will it be a concept album, what sort of themes will be running through the album, what sort of sound they're going for etc.

I think everyone would have a lot less time on their hands if they started bitching about every single negative comment about their favourite bands from other message boards :erk:

I think covering Stonehenge (with full stage show) is the only way to go for any prog band.

I'd go for either a pretty solid rocker like Fallen or Wicked or something like Communion and the Oracle.

It was between CATO and Rediscovery for me (with Egypt close behind) but I had to go with CATO just for the power and beauty of Russell's performance!
