I dont necessarily reject all lighter sounding thrash, but a lot of it that people still consider "good" is just mediocre.

And what comes to the One Man Army recommendation, the suckiness of that band was what inspired me to search for quality thrash. Yeah, its supposed to be "death-thrash", yet it is a band with occasional alright good thrashy songs, while the rest is melodic jumpdafuckup sentimental little girl...

People, i want the recommendations more brutal, more evil and more heavy. Let me show some quality examples of awesome thrash: -Legion Of The Damned -Deathchain -early Sepultura (Schizophrenia, especially) And for something that isnt death-thrash, Drunkard does a good job in kicking ass...

We all hate the gothenburg scene, and we all hate metalcore, but let me tell you the true reason to hate those genres: they merge with thrash, and by that i mean that bands who want to play thrash metal, play sentimental jew metal. I do not want to hear gothenburg type of riffing when the band...

No they dont. Because there is a difference between whiney-sad and ultimately sad, much like there is a difference between emo and black metal. Both portray certain non-positive imagery. Or to say something more realistic.... Why do metalheads like depressive doom but not commercial goth...

Oh and i fucking hate it when doom metal suddenly gets "whoops, i guess we kinda slipped into gothic rock in the middle of the song then, eh?". Doom is not supposed to give the impression that its weak, its supposed to give the impression that youre weak.

I like really sad and depressed doom. To me this means My Dying Bride(The Angel And The Dark River, Turn Loose The Swans), Shape Of Despair(Angels Of Distress), and especially Funerals From These Wounds. God i love that album. Anyway, i want to mention a few things here: I dislike the overuse...
