I'd like to be able to select that you're european, and not have a bunch of links to buy it from american sites. I want european sites damnit!

There was some discussion about adding musician pages, which seems quite doable. I think they wanted to add 4+ band compilations. Audio samples are awfully wishful thinking, but seem like a logical addition. Album pages could be better tweaked to show multiple covers and variable tracklistings when applicable. Label pages would be cool too.

I wonder how far they'll go with the web 2.0 elements. Seems like it could actually be useful to filter out the bad reviews and push good ones to the top, but this would also require extra moderation.

Well they've been planning v2.0 for a while judging from forum posts, so hopefully it won't be hell buggy once it comes back. Still though, I was perfectly happy with the current edition.
