    ENCHANT: The Great Divide

Deliberately didn't download the new album a few weeks ago. Just got it in the mail today from CM and listened to it twice driving around tonight. It's nice, definitely don't like it as much as Juggling 9... or anything, but it was well worth the purchase price and has several very good tracks.

DC Cooper - am I missing something?

You've got work to do! Bonus - there's a fourth, and while it's a bit different and...smoother, Walk The Earth is also fabulous. You just can't lose with Cooper-fronted Silent Force.

DC Cooper - am I missing something?

"Worlds Apart" is fantastic, and is one of my biggest go-to albums for classy German power of all time. I would also love it if we got a song or two off of it.

LABYRINTH Singer Roberto Tiranti Leaves Band

Yup, I think Boals did really well in Iron Mask, but pretty much every other project I've heard him in has been underwhelming. I definitely feel he's a poor fit for Labyrinth. I feel like every band that has contracted Fabio and Boals the last few years has just been reaching for whatever they...

Dynazty-To Play All of Renatus at PPUSA

Good news. I think it's by far their strongest and most pertinent material.

Pre-ordered new Enchant and Scar Symmetry, and grabbed IQ's The Seventh House and Scar Symmetry's debut in the process.

Axenstar - "Where Dreams Are Forgotten" Teaser

"Where Dreams Are Forgotten" will be released on November 28th in Europe and December 2nd in North America through Inner Wound Recordings. The album was recorded and mixed by Axenstar and Pelle Saether [Wolf, Harmony, Månegarm] at Studio Underground and mastered by Daniel Beckman [Månegarm, In...

LABYRINTH Singer Roberto Tiranti Leaves Band

Was just having this discussion on Facebook, here are my thoughts: If you put Fabio back in front of the band, it'll start to sound like everything else that Fabio has done, and I don't think the band's creativity would survive going back to him. And Luppi? I love him as a singer, but the...

    Now Reading...

Just started Steven Erikson's Deadhouse Gates today. I loved the first novel in the series, and am told it'll just get better. Already probably the best mature fantasy literary saga (I might qualify that with "modern", but we'll see) I have jaunted into, and I devour a lot of fantasy.

Hmm... Wondering about Angra as a Midweek Headliner too?!?

Hey, I'll be up on the rail if it ever happens. :)

Picked up Raintime's Psychromatic yesterday. After the band's death, I have become a pretty big fan.

Hmm... Wondering about Angra as a Midweek Headliner too?!?

That will never happen. Edu has made it very plain that he won't sing that material again. Nice pipe dream though.

Dark Moor, anyone??? Would love to have them

Finally sat down and chronicled all my thoughts on Dark Moor this spring. Certainly one of my favorites, and would be another once-in-a-lifetime experience if they ever came to the States for PPUSA. Would make my year.

    CD's I cannot stop playing

Really nice to see Psycrence and Prospekt getting some public love. The latter in particular is one that I had to go and buy after abusing my promotional copy for several months - and I still can't get enough of it. Recently, the albums that have been doing this for me are Twilight Guardian's...
