My thoughts on the new album

I'm digging this album so far (listening to it at work for the first time as I type this). I hear what you guys are saying about the production not being so great. I'll say this though; a lot of metal these days sounds overproduced and 'processed' (if that makes sense). Sometimes I like that raw...

    New look for LePou's LE456

I'm definitely gonna check out your music when I get home tonight! I hear you...I'd like to make money with music but more than anything it's a passion, which I think we all feel that way whether we get paid for it or not.

    New look for LePou's LE456

That's a solid point man...and also, I'm not chasing after someone else's exact tone or sound; I wanna create my own signature tone as much as possible. On that note (no pun intended...well, ok, the pun was intended) I DO like the tones I'm getting using your LE456 and Legion amp sims with...

    New look for LePou's LE456

Maybe I should just drop the noise gate then because that seems to be taking away from my sustain and response. I guess I can just back off my volume when fading out and cut the track where the noise may be before the playing starts (if that makes sense).

    New look for LePou's LE456

I'm with you on the LE456 amp. I like the Legion amp a lot too but it seems the LE456 doesn't take up quite as much CPU usage (more than 3 tracks with my VST chain that includes Legion and my system starts freezing up). Let me throw this out there...I've always wanted to create a solo metal...

    New look for LePou's LE456

LePou, I was wondering if there's a specific noise gate you recommend with your amps? Right now I use the gate that came with my Presonus Studio One Pro; it's ok, but it seems to cut my signal off too short not allowing it to fade. And of course if I cut the gate back I get a lot of noise. Can't...

    New look for LePou's LE456

Man I can't wait for this! Seriously, out of all the free AND paid amp sims I've played through, nothing touches Legion and LE456! I use Legion mainly for my metal rhythms and LE456 for my leads. Are there any plans to revamp (or create new) cabinet sims? LePou, thanks once again for...

Have you ever had a "real amp feeling" with

I hear you...I think with sims and/or processors (Axe FX, or PODs) you have to really spend a lot of time with your settings dialing in your tone. I'm not saying you don't have to spend a lot of time with real amps; just saying if you come across a good amp sim and spend some serious time...

Do you think you can still get a good enough tone/sound recording a tube amp at lower volumes (such as if you're in an apartment or have close neighbors)? That's my dilemna..I record at home and don't wanna crank it too loud which is the main I use sims and processors.

Have you ever had a "real amp feeling" with

I've thought about getting the Axe Fx...I've heard nothing but great things about it. I've also read some 'Axe Fx vs. the new POD HD500' reviews...I realize that's probably comparing apples to oranges though. The pushing air makes sense; you definitely don't get that through sims or processors...

Have you ever had a "real amp feeling" with

It really comes down to preference and of course the final mix. You can have an amazing tone coming out of your amp/cabinet but then it may not necessarily sound good in the overall mix. The good thing about amp sims is if your tone doesn't quite fit the mix it's a little easier to adjust the...

    Jag Panzer - disbands

Yeah this isn't cool man. Lot of amazing talent. I'm also a big fan of Broderick who was with them for a while (I saw him with Megadeth in 2009 in Orlando).
