    The Official Trek Thread

Those arguments seem rather tenuous, at best. Anyone, or indeed anything, can have sex appeal, and I am sure that there are people who found those characters sexually appealing for those reasons and/or others. Including Naomi. However, your claim was that all of the characters were done for sex...

    Black Metal.

I haven't had chance to listen to the new one, as a whole, yet, but I personally found that L'Ordure à l'état Pur was their first release since La Sanie Des Siècles - Panégyrique De La Dégénérescence that felt like it was actually written for themselves, rather than a misguided attempt to...

I thought someone might pick me up on that point, given that it is little more than conjecture. I did not expect that to be the response, though, and fail to see how you can have reached such a conclusion.

McCoy was born in 2227 and made his last appearance touring the Enterprise-D in 2364, at the age of 137. So, it's not unprecedented within the canon. Given other advances in technology and medicine that have been displayed, it isn't all that unreasonable.

Voyager had a lot of wasted potential, I think. It had a few really well thought out and developed characters (The Doctor, Seven, Kes, Seska, Tuvok and Neelix), leaving everyone else completely flat and undeveloped (Harry Kim, in particular.) And Janeway could've been so much more. Even then...

    The awesome anime thread.

I've been meaning to watch Shingeki no Kyojin, but I'm already watching 18 animes airing this season and it's hard to find enough time for them all as it is. The second season of OreImo feels completely different from the first, but I'm definitely enjoying it so far (even with the strange...

What are your most "negative" albums?

Woods of Ypres do have some rather cheesy moments (particularly on the third album,) but it's primarily the good type of cheese and, at least for me, doesn't really detract from the music at all. I've just always enjoyed David Gold's approach. I can understand how it wouldn't appeal to everyone...

    Albums currently kicking your ass

I liked Woods 3 at first, but I became bored with it very quickly. From what I've heard of Woods 4, via the youtube videos that David Gold posted, this seems to be much the same kind of thing again (albeit with more Type O Negative influence). Their first two releases (the EP and the first...
