one of the bigger problems i'm having is that people who listen to stuff like COB, Dimmu, and In Flames really don't wanna open up to more progressive, melodic metal. They like the non-stop, in your face, "heavy all the time" sound
all the people that i've converted started off with "Dirge for November".....this song is just so indescribably emotional...i get all depressed and angry every time I play it, and then the end, with the quiet guitar, calms me down.
yeah......Angela Gossow or whoever....pretty hot, no talent (she also acted soooo frickin cheesy on stage)
I like metal the most, but I also like some techno (but I have a system in my car, so i need something to blast sometimes besides Emperor or whatnot)
man....i used to be all "gung-ho" about In Flames back in the day, but then they released their new cd.....it's that damn Anders and his obsession with nu-metal....they were so LAME when i saw them live back in August
i think the "oohs" and "aahs" in "Master's Apprentics" kinda ruin the atmosphere that the song tries to follow. Also, the part when the "aahs" get really happy (2 measures before the heavy part) makes me want to hurl
