I can't digest the new album

I wasn't trying to be literal, but "jam session" is kind of what came to mind; it feels like one relative to the first two tracks. My impression is that it's more straightfoward in terms of its tempos, meters, and the way it progresses, etc.. But don't get me wrong. I love the album.

I can't digest the new album

I got into the album immediately and have enjoyed it like hell since. However, if I had to criticize it, I'd say it's unbalanced. The first two tracks are stellar. The middle track is little more than an ordinary jam session with usual aesthetics. The last two are good but its transitions don't...

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter ...and Spring

South Korean's Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter ... and Again Spring won the top prize at the second Pacific Meridian international film festival in Russia. The honor, presented during ceremonies in Vladivostok, earned director Kim Ki-Duk $25,000, Novosti reported Thursday. Thai Pen-ek...

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter ...and Spring

think about all the parallels between this movie and kim's other movies. think about a movie like The Isle. SSFW&S recalls The Isle in many ways - the water, the anumal abuse and topics relating to that, murder and convicts running from the law. it goes on and on. i know that Kim was...

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter ...and Spring

The Isle by the same director is my favorite. I also loved Samaria. SSFW&S is more like a tongue-in-cheek Buddhist parable play with all the dark and sinister stampings of Kim's previous works. And the irony is that Kim is not a Buddhist, though (of all things) he appears in the film himself...

    Your favorite bands?

for accoustic jazz, Esbjörn Svensson Trio own as well. Seven days of Falling is one of the best and my favorite albums I've heard lately. A true pleasure. It's basically a piano trio playing traditional accoustic jazz tinged slightly with some modern rock or effects here and there.

    Your favorite bands?

I'm mostly looking for killer recommendations. I'm curious to know what you KD peeps fave bands are? Sorry if that's tacky. I don't want to list my favorites because it's difficult to get beyond three bands or even two. These days Esoteric are owning me. Their last two albums destroy. I'm...

    Isis - Panopticon

I'm not sure that I exaggerated there, I'm serious. But I would definitely recommend checking the album out anyway. The music is very good. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from the self-discovery of that lovely drumming.
