I'm amazed to see such different opinions of WS and its contents. All I know is that I just can't stop playing this album and that says it all to me personally. It lived up to all my expectations. Definitely my album of 2008 and as I'm an old bastard (of 41), I've got lots to compare it to...

Hey all, I realise that a lot of people on the forum don't have the facility to listen to the DTS mix of Watershed but it would be nice to hear the opinions of those who do. Myself and a couple of old friends, who were also very familiar with the album, cracked open some beers (etc) and...

Nice thread; it's my personal favourite on the album. It has everything; great light and shade. The mellotron parts are superb; they remind me of watching an old Nosferatu movie or something. Great drum fills towards the end. The lyrics are interesting too; a crime of passion perhaps? Keith.

I just got back to the UK from NYC where Opeth played at Terminal 5; a great show. Anyway, Virgin in Times Square had free copies of The Aquarium paper which included a nice interview with Mike. Apparently, you can read the transcript (and more) here...

Yep, I just had the same problem after going through all the fucking shit and installing Amazon's DM!!! So European fans can't even purchase it. I'm pretty pissed off.

I couldn't agree more; how on earth can you judge a song by Opeth (of all bands) in 15 seconds! I personally loved the direction they were taking with GR so I hope that 'Watershed' is an extension of that.
