yeah.....most all ages shows end on the dot at 10 PM at most clubs in the city....Amom Amarth at the HOB ended at 9:10 PM, it was great. I was home eating dinner by 9:45.

Why? It's completely valid!
I'd rather drive the extra miles to the Pearl Room, since the only hassle in getting there is the distance rather than city traffic and expensive parking.

I know. I've just been hearing that from numerous people lately.
Makes me wonder if we may see a decline in shows booked in Chicago if so many people "don't want to make the drive".
But to each his own.
There is always public transportation.

Don't forget shutting off the power to the stage at 10:00.01. I've seen them do that to IE there.

Just got back from the show.
IE were a LOT tighter than they were at Powerfest.
Looks like these past few months touring have worked well for the band.
Just as I was expected, great show, but nothing new.
As much as I love IE, this may be my last IE show.
They need to do something different I think for thier next tour.
Maybe some sort of big co-headlining tour with Blind Guardian or something.
IE were a LOT tighter than they were at Powerfest.
