Honestly, I'm not too excited about this. While Stu is a great human being, his vocals (especially those "I wish I was King Diamond" style shrieks he lets out) really hurt my ears.

As someone else said, "maybe he's got a little chameleon in him" and will fit nicely, but based on my experiences of seeing Stu live 15+ times, I can't hear it. I also agree that he may be too close to Ripper.

As I was typing this, I realized that abbreviating band names in this thread is pointless (Iced Earth, Into Eternity, both being IE). If I would have posted my original post without re-reading it, it would've caused mad confusion!

I'm excited hear what the new possibilities Stu will be able to tap into with Iced Earth. Granted, its been noted he's not consistent live, but its better that he won't have to go from one end of the vocal spectrum to the other in less than a minute in a single song with Iced Earth as already mentioned.
