12 Gauge Microphones - built into Shotgun Shells

Just discovered them at Gearslutz. Seems like a really cool idea to build microphones into used shotgun shells and they also sound surprisingly great for the price with $45 for their cardioid version. Thought it might be of interest for some.

that said I think it's pretty cool, especially for that price.

I'd like to try one, but I guess customs would hold it for ages to make sure I'm not actually getting ammo sent

international shipping is EXTREMELY fair for just 5$

I kind of really want a stereo pair just to have around. Could be cool as room mics or odd spot mics.

According to the owner there haven't been any problems with international shipping so far. I'm also going to try out the Green12 and maybe getting a stereo pair of both versions later. I also think that the shipping is extremely fair and I like that he also offers them through eBay. I'm wondering how well they do on vocals.
