16 simultaneous inputs for $399?

Has anyone ever used one of these before? I'm sure the preamps aren't great, but 16 inputs sounds really attractive!!

Also with USB 2.0 you don't have to worry about having the "right" firewire port.

Im thinking about getting one of these but I think its 349 WITH the rebate:

Tascam $50 Instant Rebate applied for the holidays (regular sale price for New stock is $399).

Still a good deal I think, I just bought some nice audix mics and cant wait to record them!
