Much less melody. Much more aggro. Much much more power! Good shit but I miss the bigger melodic choruses which seem to be absent instead the songs are all about anger. Maybe it will grow on me if i play it a few times more. I hope the other songs have more melody though. The solo in Another way to Die is great though.

I hated this band in the past, but since Ten Thousand Fists, I love them now. A more old school type of sound. Guitar solos and such and the nu-metal bullshit from the early days seems to have disappered. Especially the stupid fucking monkey noises. Hated that like a pencil point to the dickhole.

I think Disturbed's sound peaked on Believe. The first one was fun but the second one had that catchy melody aspect to go along with the crunch. However I guess I'm in the minority that I was bored to tears with Ten Thousand Fists. I couldn't even make it through the whole album. It just sounded so samey. I'll give this one a listen and see what happens. Maybe it'll be like Sevendust's new album and be the best one in at least 6 years.

you aren't alone. i still get made fun of when i tell people how good i think Believe is. that record is just one big HOOK! since then it's been slowly fading for me.

I thought Indestructible was some of their best work to date, so I'm really looking forward to the new album. The new tracks here are pretty good, but I'm hoping the rest of the album has some better ones.

I miss the monkey fuck growls myself.

Those were referred to as "zoological outbursts" in a major review at the time.

Good band, and as others have pointed out, most of the nu-metal stylings here have gone out the window, probably because people have realized that good, straight-ahead metal without that added gimmick can still sell CDs.

A friends' band* opened for Disturbed on tour and had a good time doing it...oftentimes, headliners can make a tour a living hell for the 'undercard' bands on it, but not in this case. :kickass:
