2 random and very different questions

On the whole black metal is just something good to laugh at it. But Emperor are such a fantastic band and not fully considered to be black metal. It's something I have an interest in with the old culture. But as a genre it's not for me.

For black metal, you can't go wrong with the 2nd gen Norwegian stuff. As long as you have some early Darkthrone, you're doing alright.

Then again, when I find black metal I actually like, I tend to love the stuff.

I support that. Im not into too many bands that go under the genre of pure "atmospheric" black-metal, but put some elements of thrash in there like Immortal and Im on it
