The year's coming up on being half over..what are your favorite new CDs of the year so far? Best show(s) you've seen thus far this year? Most anticipated upcoming CDs/show(s)?

Dream Theater on April 1st, followed by Opeth's chronological show in NYC and seeing Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) for the first time

Scar Symmetry's Pitch Black Progress, nothing else has even come close

Most anticipated:
Symphony X
Into Eternity
Mercenary

I'm not sure who else is expecting to have a CD released by the end of the year, but I'm sure the list will get much larger.

Anyone know if Nevermore are plotting anything new? Last I heard, their other guitarist (not Loomis) had fallen ill or something :/

Well, the only show I saw this year was DT's 20th anniversary tour, which rocked.

As everyone, eagarly awaiting SymX's album as well as SYL's The New Black.

I haven't seen a show yet this year, but my friend's mom got a bunch of us tickets to see CCR in July as a grad present.

I'm not sure about CDs, but I sure as hell can't wait for the new SX.

Sonata Arctica was a great show, one of the best i've ever been to. Im gonna go see Slayer and CoB on tuesday, lets see how that turns out.
