2008 Maiden tour: Poweslave stage set resurrected!

Per Bruce, the 2008 festival tour will revisit the classic Powerslave 'era' with its stage set. Presumably, the tour will focus on the Powerslave - 7th Son albums (as last summer's tour forcused on the debut - POM)!

Very cool. I was hoping they'd follow through with this, along the lines of the "early years DVD" tour. Still, as much as Ozzfest was a debacle, it did bring them to the US for said tour, and something in me doubts seriously that we'll see this production on our shores. Anyway, I'm just as excited to get my hands on that second DVD in the series, which should cover Powerslave up through Seventh Son or slightly beyond, if they are sticking to covering four albums at a time (counting Live After Death here as an album, especially since I think it's likely that the DVD will probably be centered around the LAD show finally being itself on DVD). We'll see. Anyway, Maiden is scoring high points all the way around these days.

That sounds cool, but considering that this is Aug.2006, I'm not exactly drooling in anticipation. If they did this on their more recent tours then I'd be much more excited.

I don't care a tiny bit for their upcoming album tour, but this I GOTTA SEE!
And the DVD to accompany the tour will be awesome as well, containing LOD and Maiden England, along with (hopefully) shots of SIT tour show(s)...
