dude if you are ignorant i dont have the fault. http://www.espguitars.com/esp2008/guitars_roope.html here ya go. the difference? well, the old is grey, mine is white, the pickup is different, the fretboard is different. if you prefer to have the old model than the brand new, well thats you, but dont tell its the same because it isnt.

look at the fretboard at the 12º fret, the name of the pickup and the color, one is white and the other is grey, the pickup of the 2008 is h2 mine is f-h2. well obviously the difference couldnt be much bigger than this, but still, mines the upgrade of that, and you cant say its the same. its like buying a car, do you prefer to buy a x car or to buy the x car but with the new restyling improvement, that is substituting the normal x car, that makes your car totally brand new and the other the old one? that guitar thats selling has like 2, 3 years and mine not even 1 has.

Both guitars are exactly the same. A white finish isn't better than a light grey finish, 12th fret inlay of the new model isn't better than the old model and you can also get both models with an f-h2. But you won't hear any difference between both and to be honest - I wouldn't pay more than 700 for a used guitar

banan if you dont what the guitar just leave and dont waste my time. im not saying its better, tecnically are obviously the same (except pickup), any inteligent person could see that. im saying its different visually. mine is the new model , and the other is the old. visually they are different and you guys are saying that it isnt lol. its only a fact. if im noob for saying facts ok let me be lol. dont try to throw sand to my eyes.
about the 2007 yes i admit my mistake, i thought it was 2007, but its 2008, however its still older than mine and nothing i said besides that changes.

WTF you guys suck. I went into a guitar shop where they were selling a 2007 V-400 and a 2009 V-401, I played both and found the 2009 model to be much better. The newer models just have better craftmanship or something, I can't explain it, maybe they use different techniques equipment. I now own a 2009 V-401 and I must say it was worth the extra $50. This guy is selling a 2009 stock guitar, it costs what a 2009 stock guitar costs, it is better than a 2007 stock guitar, end of fucking story
Actually, according to the ESP website, the finish is still light grey, which means they're even the same color.

And the new ones ARE cheaper than they used to be. There was a 100-150$ price drop on the Roope and Alexi, as well as other models.
EDIT: Also, Banan is right. F just means the pickup's magnetic poles are spaced for a floyd (as opposed to fixed bridge), which it's always been. The 12th fret inlay is the only difference.

i dont think that year makes that much changes in sound...and i would say u have to listen 20/20 guitars of each year to be a bit sure bout this theory

and delanoir the esp guitar prices are absolutely overated. since when a ltd alexi 200 should cost more than 500e? its very expensive, but is it my fault? my guitar costed to my uncle more than 1000e because i ordered from the us. you think im not being correct to sell it a fair price? the fact is, the 2008 model is much cheaper, and even if you try to say the 2008 model = 2010 model you simply cant, because thats just you being silly and throw sand to peoples eyes. its obvious they´re different.
i think not only esp, but every company in the world, with time, improve more and more their stuff. if they make a restyling of a thing, its to be better, if not, why would they change? doesnt this make sense to you?
