Hey there...
I love my 6505, for rh-gits all I use is the Rh-Channel usually with bright off and crunch on (gain at 5.5-6.5)..I admit I haven't played with different settings too much so far.
When I tried to get cleans out of it I realized that even with the crunch-button out it's got plenty of gain, so I wondered if anyone of you records metal-gits w/o the crunch engaged?

this looks as if MH play without crunch on (and bright on):

i use the lead channel for clean.
mainly coz i prefer the sound of the crunch channel with the bright out for dirty.
jeesus i cant believe he has the middle that low and the prescence that high.

That pic came from a guy named Randy that's on the Dean guitar forum alot. That pic originated on the Dean forum but he also posted it over at HC. He spent some time on tour with MH as a guitar tech but had to leave mid-tour because of an injury. He took tons of cool pics with the MH crew, LOG, etc..

Here's the original thread..........http://www.deanguitars.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31100&highlight=machine+head

Most of the pics are on page 9. Enjoy!!

i've messed around with the crunch switch off and got pretty good results when boosted, but honestly i like it much better with it on

Wow, thanks dude...even though I DESPISE Lamb of God, it's pretty cool to see all their pics; odd that one of them uses that wall of Framus Dragon cabs yet still uses the Mark IV through it. And man, the Mark IV is one lame-looking little shrimp of an amp; talk about appearances being deceiving. Also, I thought that Matt from Trivianus was a Marshall loyalist; what's that orgasmic Recto roadster doing there?

I have never taken the crunch setting off, but the bright switch has been flipped off for taste on a few tracks before.

BTW: I run my presence pretty high here as well, and I am pretty sure that the AS settings have the presence set pretty high (like 7 or something). I run mine between 7 and 8, depending.

I can't stand the pres below 5 :puke:
