except the "unified europe" will turn into a terrible regime of oppression and destruction of individual culture in about 10 years

i am seriously waiting when all this will self implode ...

still cannot imagine how open borders and a unified currency was "approved" by the oh so very individual countries of Europe ...

I will say my visits to nova scotia were unfailingly so full of manners and politeness, as much as North Dakota! it was almost scary at first.

hell, i've been yelled at by americans for being polite. They think we're mocking them or something. LOL.

short story: when I moved to ohio from the Chicago area, I was out at the mall one day and my car wouldn't start. this guy pulled up and says, "say, buddy, you need any help?" my first reaction was, wtf does he want! but he was just being nice.

I guess the point being, it's all relative. but some places are just plain rude.
