6FU do Back In Black!

Yeah I guess doing a Thin Lizzy cover isn't very death metal. Cool cover tho :loco:

That's a good album. I saw Cannibal Corpse in Mexico last May, it was brutal! I'm not sure I'd go see them again soon, too much to handle :tickled:

They have the opposite of Blazes voice so thats probably why you like them lol .. :loco:

Chris Barnes was way better in Cannibal Corpse than Six Feet Under. I don't even know why they kicked him out in the first place. The Bleeding was his best work. Granted, earlier albums such as Eaten Back to Life may have had more awesome songs, but all of The Bleeding's songs were kick arse and could be listened to more than once.

Tomb of The Mutilated was all gore, which is fine, but the songs sucked (Hammer Smashed Face is a classic though). Tomb of the Mutilated is, in my opinion, CC's worst album.

When they got rid of Barnes for Fisher, all the shitty albums started pouring out. Vile and Gallery of Suicide were decent enough (Barne's Created to Kill demo sounds better in my opinion) but all the newer ones, other than Gore Obsessed, are atrocious. Listenable, but atrocious. For Cannibal Corpse, anyway.

I don't mind Six Feet Under, but Chris Barnes and all his rap-metal bullshit are starting to turn me off quite a bit. Their Smoke on the Water and TNT covers were hilarious though :)

With the Six Feet Under...thatd be a good listen. Their versions of War Machine and Wrathchild are good......and also hilarious. lol
I myself like Cannibal Corpse.......I Will Kill You and Hammer Smashed Face are great songs. I mainly like them for their fast and brutal music.

I got the SFU GCII today, after spinning it for a few times, I have to say that,
it's a pretty decent record. Barnes has balls the size of basketballs to veen think they could pull this off! Did they? They put a different spin on the arrangements.
There's some originality there. I will have to say that this would only be enjoyed by someone that is a fan of the band.

I haven't heard much Cannibal Corpse, some of the song titles make them look really immature which turns me off giving them a listen.

It's "Death" Metal.. not Frank Sinatra Lounge Music or Tchiakovsky lol ... :tickled: .... Cannibal Corpse and Death Metal for that matter is like a Horror Movie.. some of them have stupid titles but doesnt mean they aren't good to watch (or in the case of Death Metal listen).. I mean I thought the Horror movie I Spit On Your Grave was a stupid title but i actually enjoyed the movie and thought it was good for a low budget independent movie... Death Metal for the most part is low budget produced independent music that is a acquired taste and it's titles or lyrics are not to be taken serious.. but it's music can be very good... lots of good riffs etc.. it has its influences in Thrash of course like most extreme metal bands do... and not for nothing but alot of extreme metal (thrash, death, grindcore, black, viking etc.. etc.. )has stupid song titles or lyrics .. i mean the first time i heard Master of Puppets album and heard the line.. Chop Your Breakfast On a Mirror.. i thought it was stupid line but then I thought about it and makes sense to the song title itself... Most musicians and fans of Death Metal are hardcore Horror movie fans and if your not then you would not really get into such bands or appreciate the genre... Im not a Death Metal fanatic but I like some of it like Cannibal Corpse..I find the album covers, song titles and lyrics kind of amusing and funny because i dont take life so seriously so i can chuckle a little when i see such things and enjoy it purely for its entertainment value.. like any music genre there are the sucky ones but then there are the really good ones like CC and 6FU who are at the top of their game.. Anyways like i said earlier CC's new album The Wretched Spawn is a very good one if you want to give it a try..

You have to admit that, C.C. has some of the worst material out there. I mean, if you'd have to compare them to let's say a movie they'd be Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Next Generation, rather than the classic movie from the 70's. They are that bad. I'm no authority on D.M., but I do know that there are only a couple of these bands that I chose to listen to, because they are doing something a bit different.

CC isnt that bad Sixx lol .. they been around for long time now im sure one of their albums would fancy your ears.. like i said there most recent one I like... and Billboard magazine or some other magazine voted them the Best Death Metal bands in terms of album sales.. so if they sell alot of albums compared to other DM bands then there must be something to their music.. give Wretched Spawn a listen.. maybe a song or 2.. I think Metal Blade Records website might have one on it if not you can probably hear samples on Amazon.com ... You might also like Morbid Angel and Deicide as well. there also up there in the DM world.. Deicide's recent one got great reviews.. Scars of the Crucifix...

The new Deicide kicks ass. One of my favorite cds so far this year. The again I love everything Deicide has put out. Its nice and fast, brutal as ever, and the same blasphemous lyrics. There is still a quite few death metal bands I like.

You know what? I have the Wretched Spawn record, I scanned through it once. I got it from TVF, who couldn't stomach it. I think there's still some vomit stains on the sleeve(:Puke:). I tell you what I will give it a full listen & let you know what I think. I know that they are THE BEST selling DM band, I just haven't been able to get into them.
I like Morbid Angel's Covenant killer record.
I like JD have the best of Deicide, it's cool, I have to be in the mood for it though. I personally, think Carcass slays all the bands mentioned on this thread.

Yeah Carcass are very good but if you get a chance listen to Deicide's new one.... that Best of CD you 2 have were released without the band's permission or to fill out there label contractual obligations... so you could imagine that the real "best of" wasnt put on that CD...
