8-String metal Mix

hey guys, here's my newest metal mix. I've been playing around and finally found a tone that I really like, what do you think of it? I'm using POD sounds with cab VST's and Slate Drums.

Why 8 strings? I dont understand why people need a tuning so low. You think you couldnt do it with 6 strings in C or Drop C? or even 7 strings in B?

The tone is a bit scooped. Btw nice song.

thanks, but the 8-string is simply for the extended range. I very rarely go beneath the 7th string (except on this song), but I really like the ability to be able to if I choose. Kinda comes from playing piano, and having that huge range, I just like it

Nobody "needs" any particular number of strings or any particular tuning. It's either you like it or you don't...

Lol! your statement makes no sense. Ofcourse everybody need something. why guitars of 7 and 8 strings are made? For fun? No, they fulfill somebody needs.
