80's Thrash Metal All Star Line Up

Hmmmm.......

vocals - Mike Howe. Metal Church was sort of a cross between thrash and American powermetal. He was incredible. If he doesn't count then, Joel Dubay (Powermad)

Lead guitar - Alex Skolnik. Enough said.

Rhythm guitar - has to be James. Metallica might suck now, but that driving rhythm guitar sound in the 80's is what made Metallica gods.

Bass - tough call because I don't like too many thrash bassists. Steve Digiorgio would probably be my pick, but he gets a little too loopy at times. I really would have to think too hard at this one. I love thrash, but few thrash bassists.

Drums - A tie between Dave (Lombardo) and Vinnie Paul. I can't pick between the two.

My thrash dream team would be:

Steve Reynolds - vocals <- one of the most aggressive shouters ever.
Andy Sneap - Guitar1 <- his outstanding perfomance on the first sabbat uk albums deserves much more attention, even if he produces some plastic sounding albums by now.
Francis M. Howard Guitar2 <- if you dont know him then go hit youtube and type in "Incubus - Battle of Armageddon" no more to say!
Vinnie Daze - Drums <- a freaking animal on the drums :worship:
D.D. Vernie - Bass <- for his unique sound that no other has!

Vocals: James Hetfield (Metallica)

Lead Guitar: Alex Skolnick (Testament)

Rythm Guitar: Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)

Bass Guitar: Cliff Burton (Metallica)

Drums: Dave Lombardo (Slayer)

Honorable Mentions:

Marty Friedman (Megadeth)

Chuck Billy (Testament)
