That's what I was thinking. I've been wondering if I can trigger my drums, run the MIDI out of the module into the pc, then be able to use the DFH samples for that data. Does this sound possible, or at all worthwhile? Keep in mind that I also always mic my kit. I jsut want as many great drum sounds to choose from as possible.
Well if you can use the kick trigger with a midi interface so it acts like a midi imput... then you could yes... iyou'd even be able to set up velocities like that... for a more realistic trigger sound.
You can use the computer in the exact same way you would an external module. And with the DFH superior i'd say you get way more for your money than with most modules. There's just endless amounts of samples in superior, and you can choose if you want drumsticks, brushes or felt sticks amongst other things.
