A Couple of Recommendations For People

People just get tired of you pointing out your passion for hardcore/grindcore/crust or whatever when we're clearly NOT talking about it in the given discussion.

Yeah, kinda what he said. I tend to agree that most deathcore is pretty samey, and most music that ends up being trendy is trendy because of its shallow and easy to grasp nature. Most of it has an immedeate appeal, but typically ends up being boring on further investigation. My curiosity is only raised in this case because it was nissan who made the suggestion, and our tastes tend to overlap quite a bit. I believe it is possible that a metalcore or deathcore band could be good enough to me to be worthy of my time, but so far it hasn't really happened. The Faceless seem pretty good, but still haven't captivated me like, say, Agent Steel or Nevermore, or Sceptic, or Atheist, or Gory Blister, etc.

deathcore is still core music, regardless if I'm pointing it out or not. I'm just trying to steer people away from trendy crap thats going to go the way of the wild buffalo in five or so years.

You're into GrindCore... I didn't even realize there was a very big difference. Can you be bothered to explain?
