A decent melodica for recording

You know, one of these

I'm reading reviews online and naturally they're not written by people who recording these things professionally, so it's hard to tell which melodicas are worth it. Anyone here used a melodica with a decent tone?

I know Hohner build some good ones. Maybe there are some cheap and more common models, but I think they build some betters than the usual ones. The one you pictured is a really bad one if I'm right.

ordered their student model, which is probably pretty cheap-sounding but that was my price range. thanks.

so it turns out that this 32-key student model is selectively, grossly out of tune; many notes are within 5 hz, but for example G5 is 30hz sharp, F5 is 25hz flat, then C5 is 30hz sharp again. so recording looks like it won't be an option.

it's still fun as hell to play with though

You can fix it after you record or you can buy the pro model.
