what, so NOW you have a beef with the watered down complexity of newer nevermroe??

I am a fan of Dead Heart in Dead World... but like pretty much everyone else, I'd like to see them give a little more again as far as complexity is concerned. The fact is, complex guitar riffs are a large portion of what makes Nevermore great.

If nu-metal sounds like that, I haven't heard it. One riff does not make a song nu-metal. That intro kicks ass.

I assume you're saying if a band doesn't pull a Malmsteen (1800 chords a riff) they're Nu-metal? Why can't people let Nevermore (and In Flames) play around a bit with their style? I mean shit, I know there won't be another DHIADW, Warrel never does the same thing twice, but at least he tried something new.
And just because Nu-metalers use a 7 string, nevermore is banned from it? That's like saying just because Rappers eat, all Metal bands must starve to death. Come ON...
