A Full Song Of Stems For You

No trying to be the party pooper but... It looks (and sounds!!!) like you forgot a very basic principle of digital audio editing, buddy.

It's all over the place. If you are serious about audio engineering (I'm sure you are), you need to pay more attention to things like these.
Also, there's no point in exporting your audio in stereo while the content is mono. It only makes the files larger and the processing heavier.
Thank you for sharing tho.

I know.. What sucks about this band is that I didn't have much time to add crossfades.. They recorded this one song in 1 day and asked for it for the next day because they absolutely needed it to record a music video.. So I only did the bare essentials to the song.

Honestly, I do understand crossfades, but I've never noticed a difference when running them through an amp.. The only time I noticed them being a problem is during maybe clean parts or when just listening to the DIs

I'm pretty sure almost any daw have an automatic zero crossing detection or automatic fades.
I know it's hardly audible when going through high gain amp but the example is the bass which you don't necessarily want to nuke into huge amounts of distortion.

Agreed. I just noticed that this setting is off!!! Usually what I do is split items (without crossfade), quantize, then smooth, but I suppose for the sections that I manually move around and don't smooth, I should turn my auto crossfade back on. Thanks Burny.

The midi drums are .... weird? idk but i think they have some automation thats fuckin up the velocity.

Hey nick just wondering if you can maybe:(....perhaps... possibly.....post up the separate drum tracks for us?

I would, but I only used triggers for these guys' shells. Replaced with slate, and a few of my own samples.

The vocals in the file, are they completely 100 % unprocessed? What mic did you use to record them?

Had a slow afternoon so I gave this one a really quick go for shits and giggles and to try out the new room I'm in. Mind you, this is the first thing I've done in this room, so it might be a bit all over the place.

I kinda wanted to overdo the whole way too loud Sturgiscore thing, as I seldom work on material like this :loco:

Cheers for the tracks!
