I thought the counters had to start at the bottom and build up? like you can only put a counter on top of another counter or the base of the game board... With floating counters itll just be a crazy game of cat and mouse I think.

Hmm, that's another game, the one that comes as a physical game with hollow spheres. What I had in mind is similar but each team can play anywhere anytime (it's better this way, especially on a nonphysical board)
