A good practice amp

Can anyone reccomend a good practice amp, that I can also use to record a good tone from, that's not loads of money...

Any thoughts.

Peavey Bandit or Valveking.
I think that Roland Cube-60 would sound really good if you switch the 10" element with a 12" one.

I use the roland cube amps when I am instructing. I have never tried to record with them, but as far as practice amps go, I think they are the best.
