A little about yourself

You couldn't offend me if you tried :)
Even in videogames, you gotta be at least a little sociopathic to become a serial killer. Then again, my victims in Oblivion were elves, not human, so I'm sure Freud would have a field day with that one.

oh no no I don't mean to offend anyway, I just know men are so much more defensive about those things, and it makes me giggle to hear men try to explain why they do certain things. Especially "Thats what she said" and "no homo". lol

That's what she said could be humorous in high school, given the right circumstances.

I think No Homo is a way to communicate to other males that your intentions are purely platonic, because you don't know if they'll be weirded out by what you just said. That's pure speculation - social rules confuse me.

Yes, but why do males need to say it without knowing? I tell my female friends i love them, and other silly things, they are aware that I'm heterosexual without me saying it, just as I am aware they're hetero without them telling me.

Now I know these 2 guys through my boyfriend.......they do MMA together, been best pals since grade school, they live maybe 2 miles apart, they hug etc, tell each other they love each other, but they look at me and go NO HOMO, it's just a BROMANCE. I'm standing there like......wow NUKE on my gaydar. lol They stay the night at each others house, they've pics of each other everywhere.......I'm sorry, but no guys I'm not fooled by "no homo". I mean it seems to be less to tell the man you're saying it to, or more directed at the whole group.......like yo not gay, but I can't help but think something is up when men say it. I'm like dude......I had to come outta the closet twice, so it's kool just do it and be done with it. lol

Like I said, I'm socially retarded and don't really care about other people's opinions, so I don't really know the proper context or uses.

Skyrim...I am excited.

10 days after that? As the World Bleeds.

Until it went radically off-topic, this thread was interesting in that it showed that we have lurkers who must read everything, but only post in limited circumstances. Interesting...

Name's Joel. I'm 17 (18 in March). I grew up listening to Stryper, Deliverance, Barren Cross, and Sacred Warrior. I fell into a "mainstream/radio" phase during my pre-teens and eventually lost interest in music. Then I stumbled onto Epica and Nightwish on Pandora.com when I was 14. The rest is history.

I spend a lot of my time listening to music and improving my skills in Photoshop. I'm currently designing a portfolio for myself which should be up soon. I was born and mostly raised in America, but I currently live in Thailand.

I'm Jason. I guess I'm the "grandfather" fan of the Theocracy forums. I must have been one of the very first fans to arrive here - my join date is June 2004, as is Matt's.

In June 2004 the Theocracy forum was moved from the old one to this one here at ultimatemetal.com. I can't remember if the old one was directly under the domain theocracymusic.com or at metalages.com...
As a member of the old forum of course I followed Theocracy and joined this new one which was opened in June 2004 - but my account says I already joined in April 2004! :err: Strange...

Aish! is a Hebrew word for fire, but my name's Paul. I'm 39 and really starting to feel old, especially at university where I'm surrounded by immature kids while I finish a music degree (coincidentally on As the World Bleeds release day!) and work at a visual arts degree (2 more years...)

I used to drum in some indy rock bands, but I'm a classical singer with extensive piano, trumpet and clarinet training, and I dabble in guitar. I also compose experimental electronic and more traditional symphonic music.

I grew up with (and still love) Steve Taylor, Stryper, Whitecross, Deliverance, Tourniquet and Mortification, but now my fav bands are Theocracy, Adiastasia, H.B. (who I prefer in Finnish, even though I don't speak Finnish) and Ecthirion.

I used to read piles of fantasy novels. I like Jack Vance and C.S. Lewis, but it really bugs me how everyone knows and loves The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe which is just a good sequel to his masterpiece, The Magician's Nephew.

I am a Tetris Grand Master with 11 unbeatable world records, and under duress I might confess to still having a soft spot in my heart for Pokémon...

I'm amused that a few of you like Mythbusters - not a bad show - but my absolute fav on TV is Big Love. We're in the middle of the final series in Oz at the moment. Wow!!

I personally love The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe because it was my first C.S Lewis book.

I hate it when people say they love the book because they saw the movie.

I'm from Germany and love music, nature and sport. And of course my wife :)
Here are my...

G.F. Händel - Organ Concertos Op. 7, 4-6
Michael W. Smith - Freedom
Gotthard - Lipservice
Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II
Rhaposdy - Symphony of Enchanted Lands

The O.C. Supertones - Chase the sun
Third Day - Wherever you are

As for for books - I do not read many books. My favorite one would be the book of books, the bible.
At the moment I read the very interesting book "In the Steps of Jesus: An Illustrated Guide to the Places of the Holy Land" by Peter Walker.
I've been to Israel this year and before in 2007. As far as I've read I can recommend this book to everyone who is interested in the history and background information to the places where Jesus lived and acted.

I do not have special favorite movies, but here are some I really liked:

A Beautiful Mind
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Bourne Trilogy
How to train your dragon
Ratatouille
Das Boot
While you were sleeping
Star Trek IV + VIII
24 - Series 1

I love some documentary about nature, especially "Planet Earth" by David Attenborough (BBC).

Favorite music forums:
The Christian Metal Realm (THE place to discuss christian metal and metal in general)
Theocracy Forum

Favorite games
Some good old PC games like "Master of Orion 2" and "Grand Prix Legends" that I would like to play again, but don't have or take the time to do so...
On the Wii I started two new games I recently got: "De Blob 2" and "LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean".

Aish, glad to see someone else my age here!

I never read the books as a kid, so when the movies were about to come out, I decided to read the books. I had multiple different suggested orders I could follow. Thankfully, I choose to go in storyline order and start with The Magician's Nephew. I agree: masterpiece. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe pales in comparison, mainly because the White Witch went from being an interesting, nuanced character in the first, to a standard "evil character" caricature in the second.

I'm currently working on Lewis' Space Trilogy (book 2 Perelandra at the moment), which I like more than the Narnia series, I think.

I loved The Magician's Nephew as well... Great book. Loved every last page of it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the Magician's Nephew was written after the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. But it is a really great book.

The Magician's Nephew was written last, and published second-to-last. If you really want to enjoy Narnia, I strongly suggest reading it in the publication order:

-The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
-Prince Caspian
-The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
-The Silver Chair
-The Horse and his Boy
-The Magician's Nephew
-The Last Battle
