A Matter Of Life & Death

Wasn't there a thread like this kicking around yesterday??? For the record I think that the concensus was that it totally rocks and is a great return to form... :headbang:

I think, and I am still trying to get into it, its really obviously a rushed patchwork job of Kevin Shirley sitting on his editing machine and sowing bits together badly..

songs are over long, no punchy hits, and way to ponderous. and bruce sounds on a lot of them like his bad solo albums like Tears of a dragon and Skunkworks era,.

I do not want to here the WHOLE thing live.

Well if past Maiden tours are anything to go by, you might well be hearing nearly the whole album live!

I have got the album but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. But from the songs I have heard, when they start they sound really good, but then they just seem not to go anywhere. I heard 'These Colours Don't Run' on Planet Rock last night. The song sounded really good at first, but again, seemed muddled and didn't really go anywhere.

I do like the sound of the songs I've heard though, a bit of a change to the Maiden sound. But if 'These Colours Don't Run' is anything to go by, the final mix is pretty poor.

Its a good album nothing more nothing less in my opinion.

I actually thought Bruces vocal where better than usual, (not as grating) but I couldn't help but thinking I've heard this song done by Maiden before on more than one track !
